After many years working in construction & renovations with a general contractor and never finding the room for advancement in an already well-established company that I had envisioned for my self. I had to make a decision, do I stay on this path and be happy that I’m paid well I get full time hours, I have benefits, but I’ll be waiting for someone only a few years older then I to retire if I want to see any more growth, or do I want to try something else. A gentleman I would consider my most valued mentor had a saying that has always stuck with me. "If you want to be successful, find a need, and fill it."  So, I went looking. having almost 10 years of experience with a general contractor, renovations gave me wide range of skill sets that needed to be honed and sharped if I was to undertake such a task and if this was going to happen it better be something I loved doing because I wanted people to see the passion in my work. So, I got to thinking I have been involved in every step of the process, but what did I love? Was it when everything comes down? No. Fun yes but love no, was it when the electrical go in or HVAC, I could go get a ticket? That’s cool and I see a lot of appreciation for these hard-working individuals but that’s not my favorite. I want more; I want to give more. Drywall was a thought for a while or painting everyone loves seeing the framing gone replaced with a seemingly perfectly flat wall or the beautiful new finish of fresh paint, but then again if I kept putting that much effort into getting all the paint out of my cut brush and not the dishes, I might be single today. So, what did I love more then any of that? What made me feel good about the job I had done? I loved the jobs that started just a little later then they should have and went into the colder months or landed in the middle of summer, I loved seeing our client leave in the morning all bundled up ready for another day of Canadian winter trying to freeze the joy from their core leaving for work or locking themselves away from the dust and noise with a space heater or fan + A/C to come back and find the difference quality air sealing and insulation makes in the home, or after the first night of a big renovation after the attic and walls had brand new fluffy insulation and vapour barrier for the first time in weeks to months, after being air sealed right for the first time since they had lived there, that feeling of warmth when your getting in or out of bed not needing a pair of slippers to walk around, or that realization that this nagging draft that has always chilled you to the bone is just gone, not less not better, gone as if that bad dream never existed, being able to sleep on the top floor in the middle of the summer heat wave like it’s a cool march morning. For me that's what makes my house a home that feeling of warmth and comfort no matter where you are, what you’re doing or what time of year it is. Knowing your family is happy, healthy, safe and comfortable. Knowing you made your house, a home and that’s a feeling I want everyone of my client to share.   we started in 2019 with hope and an idea, using a minivan and an 8x4 utility trailer. We have come along way since then and it has been a fun trip to take with our clients many who have been able to see us grow along the way as we have helped with varies projects that have allowed us to continue our relationships and we always appreciate the contribution they have made to our success and continued growth.
